Serving Our Community - Projects and Programs

 The initiatives undertaken by the Manila Teachers Party-list extend beyond the confines of the legislative floor, encompassing a multifaceted approach to address the diverse needs of the community. In addition to their active participation in legislative proceedings, the party-list takes a proactive stance by spearheading a range of impactful projects and programs, often conducted in collaboration with various government agencies. 

  One notable initiative is the provision of Medical Assistance for indigent patients, demonstrating a commitment to ensuring the well-being of the most vulnerable members of society. This program not only alleviates the financial burden on those in need but also contributes to fostering a healthier and more resilient community. This program is made possible through the cooperation of Department of Health. 

  Recognizing the challenges faced by displaced and disadvantaged workers, Manila Teachers has also championed the TUPAD program with the Department of Labor and Employment. This program goes beyond conventional assistance by offering emergency employment to individuals who have encountered setbacks in their livelihoods.

Manila Teachers also plays a pivotal role in promoting access and inclusivity through Educational Assistance programs. By providing financial support, Manila Teachers contributes to breaking down barriers to education, paving the way for a more educated and empowered citizenry. It has also partnered with the Commission on Higher Education to provide scholarships worth 25,000 pesos to selected college students. 

Manila Teachers extends its influence to sectors critical for local livelihoods, as evidenced by another program called Training on the Construction of Fiberglass Reinforced Motorized Boats, done in collaboration with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. This initiative not only imparts valuable skills and training but also provides modern and motorized equipment to fisherfolks in order to capacitate them for sustainable livelihood 

In addition to its primary functions, Manila Teachers is dedicated to providing essential aid and relief efforts to those in need. This includes the distribution of food packs to vulnerable families and immediate assistance to victims of fires. 

 Manila Teachers also actively participates in Brigada Eskwela, contributing to the improvement and maintenance of school facilities. Moreover, through various activities throughout the year such as free LET reviews, scholarships, and training, Manila Teachers seeks to uplift and recognize the invaluable contribution of educators to the community. 

Manila Teachers’ commitment to community development goes beyond legislative measures, reflecting a holistic approach that addresses the pressing needs of the people. Through collaborative efforts with government agencies, these initiatives serve as a testament to its dedication to creating positive and lasting impacts on the lives of those they represent.
